Mrs. Amy Aucoin-Byrd

Mrs. Aucoin-Byrd is a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in 1995 and Our Lady of Holy Cross College in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary English Education, then attended the English graduate program at the University of New Orleans and is currently a graduate student of Louisiana State University's Library and Information Science Program. She taught 8th and 9th grade English for 15 years in NOLA before taking some time off to spend teaching her two young sons. Today she is working as our school librarian assisting our young readers as they build upon their reading and library skills and discover the world of literature. On the weekends, she enjoys family life, gardening, cooking, reading and practicing Spanish.
